Psychological Support: Soul Recovery and Empowerment

Психологічна підтримка переселенців і постраждалих від війни - важливий проєкт фонду Червона Калина Харків.

Psychological support is the most important project of the Chervona Kalyna Kharkiv Charitable Foundation, which aims to help those who have experienced difficult trials and need to restore their mental balance. In war conditions, when fear, pain, and loss have become a daily reality for many, our mission is to provide professional psychological assistance, restore people’s faith in themselves, and help them regain their inner strength.

Psychological support at the Chervona Kalyna Kharkiv Foundation is provided at different levels to cover all aspects of mental health recovery. Our professional psychologists work with both children and adults, helping them cope with the consequences of traumatic events. We understand that war leaves deep wounds that take time and care to heal.

Play therapy for children is an important aspect of our work. In an atmosphere of safety and support, children have the opportunity to express their fears, anxieties, and inner worries through play. This method helps them become more aware of their emotions, regain a sense of security, and regain lost joy. For children, play is not just fun but a way to find peace of mind and confidence in the future.

For parents and adults, we offer individual and group counselling. In our sessions, people can talk openly about their feelings, share experiences, and find support among those who understand their pain. We help them overcome stress, anxiety, depression and other consequences caused by the horrors of war. These sessions allow people to regain confidence in their own abilities and start moving forward.

Group classes and trainings are another important element of our program. They help people realize that they are not alone in their experiences and provide an opportunity to share experiences with others who have gone through similar experiences. In the process of group classes, people learn to support each other, rebuild social connections, and find new ways to overcome difficulties.

The program is also closely related to our other initiatives, such as the Space of Care and the Kindness Kitchen. We create a comprehensive support system in which every family and each person can receive the necessary help at all levels – from basic needs to deep psychological rehabilitation.

We believe that psychological support is an integral part of the recovery process, and that everyone deserves to be helped to overcome difficulties and regain the joy of life. We are grateful to all our partners and volunteers who help us implement this important project.  If you want to contribute to the Psychological Support project or know someone who needs help, contact us. Your support will help many people recover and find their way to a new, brighter future.
