Today, on September 12, the Charitable Foundation “Chervona Kalyna Kharkiv” continued to support displaced children from the Dvorichanska community who found themselves in a difficult situation due to the military actions. These families were forced to leave their homes and their normal lives, including the schools where the children had been studying for years. Starting the school year in an unfamiliar environment was a real challenge for them. However, thanks to the support of our friends and sponsors from Germany, represented by Jens Leisenberg, we were able to give these children a little joy and warmth.
Jens Leisenberg is a volunteer and philanthropist who has long been cooperating with our foundation, providing significant humanitarian support. His care and involvement have brought smiles to the faces of those in difficult situations more than once. This time, thanks to his help, we were able to give every schoolchild from the Dvorichanskaya community wonderful gift sets with stationery. For the children who lost the opportunity to go to school near their homes, these gifts became a symbol of support and care, reminding them that they are not alone in their difficulties.
Along with gifts, an entertainment program was organized for the children in the form of an educational quiz “I Know Everything”. It was a real celebration of knowledge, where every child could feel important and needed, show their talents and show interest in history, language, literature, art and science. We were amazed at how many inquisitive and intelligent children there are among us! Their enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge inspire and give us hope for a better future.
After the quiz, everyone was treated to a traditional holiday table covered with pies, pizza and cookies prepared with love by our volunteers. This simple but important gesture has become part of a bigger mission – to give children who have gone through so many difficulties the joy and sense of celebration that they could have in their own home.
