Humanitarian aid needed by families with children
This touching story about a family from the village of Tavilzhanka, Kharkiv region, is a testament to their fortitude and incredible resilience in the face of war. When hostilities broke out, hard times came for this family. Forced to leave the house that had been built for many years, the parents took their three children – toddlers 4, 10 and 15 years old – and went into the unknown. Fear for the lives of children and uncertainty about the future have become constant companions for them.
Finding themselves in a difficult situation, the family found support that gave them a new light of hope. The Chervona Kalyna Kharkiv Charitable Foundation, together with such kind-hearted people as Victoria Korenets and Irina Zakharchenko, as well as the Women’s Dream and UA FRIENDS foundations, responded to the call for help. These caring people were able to give the family not only the necessary things, but also the feeling that they are not alone on this difficult path.
For the first time after their arrival, the foundation provided the family with clothes that are so necessary on cold days, as well as toys for the kids. For children, toys have become a reminder that childhood does not end even in difficult times. The clothes helped the family regain their lost sense of security and comfort. But most importantly, they got the feeling that there were people nearby who were ready to help.
